Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to know comparing achievement of
study between two learning model. In this case, the researcher use
quantitative descriptive approach. This research focused on Quasy
Experiment. There are two kinds variable of this research,
independent variable is Guided Inquiry Learning Model (X1 ) and Free
Inquiry Learning Model (X2 ) and Dependent Variable is Students
Achivement Study (Y). The population of this research is Seventh
Grade Students of SMP Negeri 50 Batam in Academic Year 2015/2016
that included 6 classes. Technique Sampling in this research is
Cluster Random Sampling. Class VII-E used Guided Inquiry Learning
Model and Class-F used Free Inquiry Learning Model. The data of
students achievement study obtained with used the instrument in the
form of Multiple Choice that implemented after the learning process is
completed. The research data of the students activity obtained with
used obsevation sheet Guttman Scale and implemented in the
learning process. The prerequisite analysis test held with normality
test and homogeneity test. Normality Test with used Chi Square, From
the calculation result that the data normal distributed. Homogeneity
test of achivement study used F-Test, Score obtained F-count smaller
than F-table. So, the data is homogeneous. Continued into the
hypothesis testing with used T-Test. After the researcher calculated T-
Test, It found T-count higher than T-table. So, the answer that
obtained Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It concluded that there
are comparative studies of student learning outcomes between
Guided Inquiry Learning Model and Free Inquiry Learning Model at
Seventh Grade Students with material living creatures interaction with
the environment in SMP Negeri 50 Batam.
